HVAC UPGRADES AND SEISMIC ASSESSMENT

Entero Architects is serving as the lead design consultant and Project Architect, alongside COAR Design Group on The Columbus Tustin Gym, a 10,000 square-foot community recreation center, which is undergoing essential upgrades to improve building performance, safety, and comfort for public use. This project includes the modernization of HVAC systems and a comprehensive seismic assessment to ensure the long-term resiliency of the facility.
Our responsibilities include design oversight, coordination with engineering consultants, and ensuring that all improvements comply with current building codes and public facility standards.
Project Scope:

Replacement and upgrade of existing HVAC systems, including energy-efficient equipment and improved air distribution

Seismic assessment of the gym structure to evaluate current performance and identify any retrofit needs

Coordination with city officials, community stakeholders, and technical consultants to balance functionality, safety, and budget constraints

Maintaining the public-serving nature of the facility with minimal disruption during the design and planning phases
