HVAC UPGRADES AND SEISMIC ASSESSMENT

Entero Architects is serving as the lead design consultant and Project Architect, alongside COAR Design Group on The Columbus Tustin Gym, a 10,000 square-foot community recreation center, which is undergoing essential upgrades to improve building performance, safety, and comfort for public use. This project includes the modernization of HVAC systems and a comprehensive seismic assessment to ensure the long-term resiliency of the facility.

Our responsibilities include design oversight, coordination with engineering consultants, and ensuring that all improvements comply with current building codes and public facility standards.

Project Scope:

• Replacement and upgrade of existing HVAC systems, including energy-efficient equipment and improved air distribution

• Seismic assessment of the gym structure to evaluate current performance and identify any retrofit needs

• Coordination with city officials, community stakeholders, and technical consultants to balance functionality, safety, and budget constraints

• Maintaining the public-serving nature of the facility with minimal disruption during the design and planning phases
